This full-length album features 6 instrumental songs for a total length of 55 minutes. The music was recorded entirely in my home and explores multiple genres including, post-rock, ambient techno, shoegaze, metal, and pop.

The album artwork is a painting I made.

The theme is centered around the concept of non-duality, a perennial theme found in multiple religions, predominantly in Advaita Vedanta, many schools of Buddhism, and even a growing number of western religions.

Everyone is seeking to increase happiness while reducing suffering and the feeling of suffering is born out of sense of separation from whatever it is that we believe will make us happy. Prior to anything we experience, we first have to be aware and from that empty awareness, the world becomes known. Suffering is something that is added on to our already peaceful state of open, aware presence. By noticing and internalizing that fact, the peace that has always been available to us can be recognized. Peace can always be found in the present moment, no matter what may be happening, because it is the very essence of who we are. Nothing can be outside of awareness and the awareness that I am is the same awareness that you are. The separate self we believe we are is the source of all suffering we experience or inflict on others and by seeing through that illusion, we gain a world of total freedom and happiness.

Le temps des métaphores est révolu : l'humidité froide, c'est celle des larmes qui coulent sur le visage à cause de la dépression. Tout pleure dans cet album : les guitares typées DSBM grésillent, les solos ("The Damp Chill of Life", "It's Painless To Let Go") sont liquides et coulent, les voix prennent à la gorge ; même le piano, étranglé par les sanglots ("Cease"), est aphone.
